That's what the shirt I'm wearing says. I picked it up at the American Collegians for Life annual conference held at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. this past Saturday.
Today was the "March for Life" and yesterday marked the grim 33rd anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision which mandated (somehow) that women have the "right" to abortion. In fact, in the past 3 decades it has come to mean the right to an immediate abortion, which is often forced on women by men, and by society.
However, Saturday's conference gave me yet another opportunity to interact with hundreds of pro-life college students who made the trip to D.C. from all over the country to "March for Life" and to attend a conference about pro-life activism and how to persuade their peers on college campuses why abortion is wrong and why women deserve better.
Perhaps the nomination and confirmation of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court is just one step towards restoration of a terrible crime which has led to the deaths of over 40 million innocent children, ripped from their mother's wombs in the ultimate act of murder. As Mother Teresa of Calcutta told us, "The greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion."
Here is the link to the American Collegians for Life, which is now named, as of Saturday, the Students for Life of America. If you look at the 2006 Conference photos, you might be able to find me in the background talking to students from behind a table. I saw myself in at least 2 different photos, but you have to look close.

That is one thing I have to give the Muslims, they have outlawed abortion. And, I think when we look at the "roots" of terrorism, we really have to look at our own culture here in America and the West.
Abortion, perversions of sexuality (including pornography, loose sexuality, and homosexuality) and the growing divorce rate. These are some of the reasons that "radical" Muslims point to the West and say, "see, this is what freedom gets you." And, so we must question ourselves and our own freedom.
When President Bush says he wants to "spread freedom all around the world", he should instead be saying "spread freedom with responsbility all around the world.". You can't have freedom if it's not accompanied by responsibility, otherwise we would live in one chaotic world.
As for the abortions that still go on on a daily basis, I do consider these the equivalent of murder - and by the worst kind of murder, I mean a mother actually committing the act of taking her own child's life (and believe me, plenty of fathers are implicated in this matter as well).
However, I can't just storm into abortion clinics and stop this, as I do respect the RULE OF LAW. And, I try to do my part each day to help overturn that law. We have to fight it in the courts and in the legislatures, but most importantly, in the hearts and minds of individuals. Many friends of mine (both liberal and conservative) can attest to the fact that I have spent hours in conversation, well into the night, debating this issue and trying to change minds. It's the best I can do and still live within the rule of law. Again, freedom comes with responsibility. Even when abortion is made illegal, people will still have them, so you must educate them and hope at the end of the day, they make the right decision.
As for those radical muslims, we have to defend ourselves from them and that is one complicated task.
